Moving Motor Show Puts New Car Buyers behind the Wheel

What driver doesn’t dream of getting behind the wheel of a brand new, next-year-model car and driving it where many famous racing car drivers have driven? At the Moving Motor Show this year, this is now possible. Taking place on the vast Goodwood Estate and featuring a focus on new drivers, this year’s motor show is presented by the Royal Automobile Club and gives leading car manufacturers and first-time car buyers an opportunity to meet in an exceptional setting.

The Moving Motor Show at a Glance

goodwood festival of speed

The Moving Motor Show arises from the well-established Festival of Speed, where leading car manufacturers have been showcasing their latest model vehicles for drivers. Aside from an opportunity to drive the latest models on challenging and entertaining closed courses, this year’s show offers other attractions, such as a supercar paddock showcasing deluxe dream vehicles and live music. A special pavilion will be devoted to the latest environmentally friendly motoring innovations. All of the major car manufacturers will have a presence at the show, and various model styles, from mini cars to 4x4s, will be represented.

Evaluation Drives at the Moving Motor Show

Drivers who arrange with a vehicle manufacturer in advance of the show to be invited for an evaluation drive will be able to enjoy a dedicated course just longer than 3.5 miles, featuring the renowned Goodwood Climb, previously driven by several professional race drivers. The course, specially designed for the show, is challenging and thrilling but also new driver friendly and safe. Drivers will be able to experience the performance, handling, comfort, power and efficiency of the latest car models.

Focus on New Drivers and First Time Car Buyers

The Moving Motor Show is especially inviting to newly licensed drivers and those who will be purchasing a car for the first time. Exhibitors will be happy to explain relevant concepts to drivers, such as insurance for first time drivers and attendees will have an opportunity to discover new car insurance options for first time drivers, but repeat car insurance purchasers are also welcome. There will also be significant opportunity to discover the latest and best offerings from leading and specialty car manufacturers for the first time.

Other Attractions

Naturally, the Moving Motor Show will offer a great deal of adjunct services and attractions. There will be a variety of paddocks displaying not only the latest and best cars but also motorcycles. Various pavilions will feature musical performances by quality talent. There will be catered food and beverages, as well as a full-featured retail market offering a variety of goods. The best feature of the show—apart from the stunning vehicles on display and available for driving—will, however, be the sumptuous Goodwood Estate itself, a luxury setting that anyone will have an opportunity to enjoy, and which will be a delight simply to stroll through.
